Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society Visits TopGolf
The Mu Alpha Theta, Math Honor Society and friends went to Topgolf on 11/16/2022 to apply mathematics to golf. This sport places limitations on golf equipment, such as restricting the distance the ball will travel, as predicted by mathematical models. The Rules also place limits on a value called the coefficient of restitution, which measures the efficiency of the impact between a club and ball.
